Welcome to ArtStar ! 
Hello, I am Marie, my goal is to ensure you get the most out of your experience at ArtStar. This agreement outlines all aspects related to use of services and applies to participation in the ArtStar service/product that you have purchased. ArtStar products and services are for adults with the exception of products labeled for 13 and up and these require consent from a parent or legal guardian.

GROUP PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES: These guidelines were created to ensure everyone has a comfortable experience and can benefit from the therapeutic art we will do in groups and workshops. I will do my very best to be attuned, and speak to, anything that is upsetting or strays from these community guidelines.

1. Be non-judgemental and thoughtful in communication (posts/spoken words/chat features etc). As ArtStar's Community is open to participants across the globe, having a community where thoughtful, non judgemental discourse happens is very important. That being said if things do come up that might make people uncomfortable and/or feel alienated it is important to acknowledge this (ie. name it, apologize, move on).

2. Be part of creating a community culture that feels supportive, respectful and inclusive. This means we behave with respect for all participant's culture, race, religion, sexual orientation. Participants will include anyone who identifies as a woman/girl be they cis or trans or a nonbinary person. ArtStar is an LGBTQIA+ friendly community.

3)Use & Acknowledge Personal Pronouns: Please post the pronouns you use to identify yourself in parenthesis next to your name on Zoom and use others' designated pronouns when interacting with them. If you do not post your pronouns, or do not see them posted for someone else, you can always clarify. We will likely all make mistakes and should be patient with each other. What is important is that we do our best and apologize when we make mistakes. I will remind the community each time we meet in a group.

4)Speak Up: (Concerns/Complaints/Feedback) : If something occurs I may reach out to participants afterwards and I appreciate nudges/emails etc about anything I may have missed as well. Participants can always bring concerns to my attention at artstarlounge@gmail.com

PROCEDURES FOR ZOOM MEETINGS: Participants will receive a link to the session, should join the video call on time (be on screen please) and be ready to participate in guided art experiences and break out rooms (not mandatory) during the group time. Group discussions and sharing are part of the sessions as well but no one has to share if they are not comfortable doing so. You can make the art with materials you have at hand but a supply list for special projects will be sent to participants ahead of time when applicable. Sessions may be recorded. Participants should never share or post the link to these meetings as the group/event you purchased is a private live group. Note: some webinars/session recordings will be available to members of the Art Lounge so that they may complete art exercises on their own. Breakout rooms are not recorded. Service Platforms: ArtStar utilizes several platforms to provide this product to you. Your participation in a group may include ONE OR MORE PLATFORMS -including time inside the membership platform on Podia.com (chat/posting platform features), in community art sessions/webinars/coaching sessions via Zoom (includes breakout rooms/ groups),or on social media sites such as FaceBook or Instagram.You will be provided with links through email to access the product you have purchased.

PARTICIPANT DISCLAIMER : As a participant, I understand and agree that I am fully responsible for my well-being during this program, including my choices and decisions. I am aware that I have committed to this program (Lounge Memberships are on an ongoing monthly basis), until I officially cancel. I recognize that this service is not psychotherapy and that professional referrals may be given if
requested. I understand that all ArtStar group products are not therapy but are a form of therapeutic art-making designed to facilitate personal growth by expressing one's feelings and thoughts through art. I acknowledge that deciding how to handle personal or professional issues and implement my choices is exclusively my responsibility. I understand that this program does not involve treating mental health disorders as defined by the American Psychiatric Association. I understand that this program is not a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care, creative arts therapy, or substance abuse treatment, and I will not use it in place of any form of therapy. I understand that my personal information other than my name, discussed in group sessions, will be kept confidential unless I state otherwise, except as required by law. I understand that this program is not to be used in lieu of other professional advice or guidance, including legal, medical, financial, business, spiritual, or other matters. I understand that all decisions in these areas are exclusively mine, and I acknowledge that my decisions and actions regarding them are my responsibility. (Please Note: Teen's 13-17 year olds must have permission from a parent or guardian to participate in ArtStar's online community events.)

PAYMENT/CANCELATION & REFUND POLICIES LISTED BY PRODUCT (PLEASE READY CAREFULLY):

Payments: Participants pay on the date they join. After the first payment, your credit card/Paypal/Stripe will be automatically charged each month on the same day (or every 30 days
or so) on a continuous basis (or on an annual basis if opting for an annual plan). PLEASE NOTE: For those of you who received a promotional/founding member discount, you will pay this amount until you end/cancel your membership.

Cancellations:You can cancel a membership anytime. However it must be before your monthly scheduled payment date. For instance if your monthly payment is scheduled for Jan 6th you must cancel before this date. Otherwise your membership will stop being charged in the following month (Feb 6th).Your access to the “ Lounge” community portal group ends the month you cancel your membership.For Annual Art Lounge Membership Purchases, access to all the digital content, private community and live zoom calls are valid for one year from your purchase date. After one year, your access to the materials and sessions end. You are welcome to purchase the membership again at that time.

Refunds will not be given under any circumstances once you have attended a group/started using your membership for that month. Once you cancel any remaining months already paid for will be refunded to you.

WEBINARS/SUPPORT GROUPS/WORKSHOPS
Payments: Payment is required before the start date of the program. Making one or two payments is an option in some programs. After the first payment, your credit card/Paypal/Stripe will be automatically charged each month on the same day (or every 30 days or so) on a continuous basis until the balance is paid in full. If you need to make smaller payments than my payment plan allows PayPal has an option for this. Cancellations/Refunds: You can cancel anytime before the program start date and receive a full refund. Once the program begins refunds are not given for the value of the first session week. However this amount may be transferable to another workshop or program of equal value. Any additional missed sessions are non-transferable and non- refundable. You may opt to withdraw from the program at any time if it is not suitable for you with a full refund of future sessions, however sessions already attended are non-refundable.

COACHING/ART THERAPY PACKAGES Once purchasing an art therapy or coaching package (of any amount of sessions, ie. 3/5/10/12/14 etc session packages) you can use your sessions over any timeframe you desire. Sessions do not expire, however they are not refundable. If you choose to not use all your sessions you may gift them to someone else or to my scholarship program for BIPOC women or women who are under financial duress.

PRODUCT BUNDLES: (Combination of products) Once a session in a bundle has been attended the cost of this session is not refundable. Missed sessions without canceling will not be refunded. When you request to cancel any unattended sessions will be refunded in full, minus any fees for processing your refund.

PAYMENT DISPUTES : RETURNS/REFUNDS You must contact the site admin before opening a formal dispute regarding issues with
digital file access. A dispute claiming dissatisfaction regarding the contents or quality of the product will not be considered for refund and you will be charged for our services. When purchasing from Podia.com, Simple Practice, or directly from this Site, if for any reason your payment has been withdrawn, canceled, or refunded back to your account after you have received confirmation of your purchase, you may be charged a $15 reprocessing fee when you are billed again for the service/product you received. This is to cover any reprocessing fees charged by Stripe.com if your payment method was through credit card transaction. Please make sure your payment method is valid and contact artstarlounge@gmail.com before proceeding with a dispute to avoid fees.

Requesting Termination/Refund of Payment for Services: If you wish to terminate a purchase of a private one-on-one coaching session, art therapy session or therapeutic art session engagement (any product advertised on this site), you must follow the procedures outlined in this paragraph. First, you must detail your reasons, complaints and grievances verbally and must submit a request in writing to terminate the agreed service to Marie Westburg at artstarlounge@gmail.com

If not, cancellations cannot be made. Cancellation fees may be charged, up to $50.00 USD. Refunds without cancellation/request prior to start of service are not given except in extenuating circumstances (illness or disability that prevents you from attending sessions). Refund requests must be made within 30 days of the date of transaction (signup) and any made after 30 days will not be

refunded under any circumstances. Refunds will not be issued for services already rendered.

In the event of early termination of a service because of extenuating circumstances (e.g., package that lasts over a month or group program), you may receive credit for the remaining sessions not used towards a future session offered by ArtStar. You may also transfer the credit to someone else or donate it to the scholarship fund for women in financial duress or to BIPOC women.

PAYMENT PROCESSING PLATFORMS AND POLICIES We accept the following forms of payment: PAYPAL (PayPal & Venmo) and STRIPE (VISA, AMEX, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER, and APPLE PAY). You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made via the Site. You further agree to promptly update account and payment information, including email address, payment method, and payment card expiration date, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed. Sales tax will be added to the price of purchases as deemed required by us. We may change prices at any time. All payments shall be in U.S. dollars. You agree to pay all charges at the prices in effect at time of your purchases and you authorize us to charge your chosen payment provider for any such amounts upon placing your order. If your order is subject to recurring charges, then you consent to our charging your payment method on a recurring basis without requiring your prior approval for each recurring charge, until such time as you cancel the applicable order. We reserve the right to correct any errors or mistakes in pricing, even if we have already requested or received payment. We reserve the right to refuse any order placed through the Site. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household, or per order.
